The history of the Congregation of the Union of Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary springs from a response  to the Spirit at a particular time, in a particular culture. This response held within it a dream for justice, a perception of how this dream could become a reality in the context of prayer and action in community. This reality begins with the story of Honora (Nano) Nagle, born in Ballygriffin, Cork, Ireland in 1718.
