Nick, age 54, had lived on the streets in Fargo, N.D., for many years before being housed by Presentation Partners in housing through the Housing Navigation Program. He was a kind and gentle man wanting only to make people happy. Nick had a deep love for gardening and took great pride in nurturing things from tiny seeds to beautiful blossoms. Unexpectedly he went to his home in heaven while preparing a meal for himself in his kitchen.
While the sisters didn’t know him personally, it was appropriate that on indigenous Peoples Day he was honored by a gathering of staff, friends and sisters in the chapel at Sacred Heart Convent to celebrate his life.
The ministry of the Presentation Partners in Housing (PPiH) continues to work hard to break the cycle of homelessness in Cass County, Minnesota and Clay County, North Dakota. PPiH works to prevent homelessness through assistance with rent, mortgage and utilities. PPiH helps people rebound from homelessness through assistance with deposits. And finally, PPiH helps people overcome chronic homelessness through intensive housing stability case management for it is our belief the EVERYONE NEEDS A PLACE TO CALL HOME.
