The last of October at Sacred Heart Convent in Fargo, North Dakota, is always fascinating as the leaves blow around and we prepare for winter and the snow covered grounds. The pleasure this year was the elementary students from Nativity Catholic Church in Fargo who wanted a community service project and asked if they could rake the leaves on our property. Most of you know how large the property is. Two busloads of kids with adults driving their cars with all the rakes inundated our land and began to rake. They not only raked all the leaves but before putting them in bags they had fun jumping in the pile of leaves and having their picture taken. Adults and students had fun as the sisters watched through the windows. They eventually had about forty-five bags of leaves and they were all smiling as they worked and played. What a joy with a job well done.
